The Society of Clinical Data Management’s (SCDM) Leadership Webinar Series brings industry leaders together to discuss the major themes shaping the sector, the evolution of the clinical data management profession and the unique value the industry brings to drive business and societal priorities.

Best of #SCDM2022, the first webinar of the series, will look back at the main discussions and topics covered during our most recent Annual Conference which took place in September 2022. #SCDM2022 was all about reconnecting with peers and friends – but also making new connections – and sharing curated, innovative and thought-provoking content.

Meet the Speaker
Jonathan Andrus
President and COO, CRIO
Treasurer, SCDM
As President and COO, Jonathan leads CRIO’s customer experience and quality management teams. With 25+ years of experience, Jonathan brings extensive expertise developing eClinical services that integrate data and technology to help life science companies optimize study execution.
Prior to CRIO, Jonathan served in numerous roles at Clinical Ink, including leading sales, solution management, operations and data management to help sponsors and CROs better leverage eSource, eCOA and ePRO data.
Jonathan joined Clinical Ink from BioClinica where he led the eClinical Solutions Group to develop their current service offerings, including data management, quality management, implementation services and IRT. Prior to BioClinica, Jonathan worked in pharmaceutical consulting and with CROs focused on quality, data management and validation.
An active thought leader, blogger and presenter, Jonathan has served as chair of the Society for Clinical Data Management (SCDM) in 2008 and 2013 and currently serves as the society’s Treasurer. Jonathan is an active member of DIA (Program Committee), Decentralized Trials Research Alliance (DTRA), eCOA Consortium and ASQ. Jonathan earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Temple University’s College of Liberal Arts and Graduate School of Pharmacy and Jonathan is a Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) and Certified Clinical Data Manager (CCDM®). 
Tanya du Plessis
Chief Data Strategist & Solutions Officer, Bioforum
Member of the Board, SCDM
Tanya is currently Chief Data Strategist & Solutions Officer of Bioforum, she has 18 years industry experience. Throughout her career, Tanya has worked with multinational pharmaceutical companies as well as small-to-mid size biotechs and startups. She has led various data management operations and programs, heading numerous innovation teams and spearheading the development of strategies for customized data delivery solutions, focusing on timely, quality data. Tanya is also a certified clinical data manager (CCDM, SCDM) as well as a project management professional (certified PMP). After working for IQVIA (legacy Quintiles) for nearly 14 years, she left her role as Director for a opportunity with Bioforum as VP, Data Strategies and Solutions. Thereafter moving into the role of Chief Data Strategist and Solutions officer, she is directly involved in the companies innovative strategies for customised data delivery solutions. 
Richard Young
Vice President, Strategy, Vault CDMS, Veeva
Richard Young is VP, Strategy, Vault CDMS at Veeva Systems. Young has over 25
years of expertise in data management and clinical strategy. His broad experience
includes roles at Medidata where he focused on adaptive trials, risk-based
monitoring, mobile health, and big data. He has also held operational roles at leading
pharma and CRO organizations including GlaxoWellcome, Novo Nordisk, and
PAREXEL. Young holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemical sciences from
Coventry University.
